Congrats to the WHS Boys Swim Team

Congratulations to Hunter Hardin, Harry DeShazer, Jax Bennett, Mason Engel, and Perrin Grove, all of whom qualified for the Boys Swim District Tournament that took place Friday and Saturday at Mark Morris High School.

Harry DeShazer is advancing to state after qualifying in two events.  Harry placed 2nd place in the 100 yard breaststroke and 3rd in the 200 yard individual medley! Mason Engel placed 7th in the 200 yard Individual medley and 7th in the 500 yard freestyle.  Hunter Hardin placed 6th in the 200 yard freestyle and 7th in the 100 yard backstroke.  The team also competed in several relays, placing 6th in the 200 yard medley relay, and 7th in the 200 yard freestyle relay. Go Panthers!

Congratulations to State-bound Wrestlers Henry Logan (Alt), Brody Davis (1st), Owen Leifsen (3rd), Ben Johansen (3rd), Isaac Gil (1st), Mercy Johnston (Alt), Will Cooper (3rd), Garrett Lees (Alt), Michael Camp (Alt), Jose Alvarez-Cruz (4th), Kiersten Lees (2nd), Alaina Kestner (4th) and Aliyha Vargas (1st)!

Congrats WHS FBLA Team!

On February 2, Washougal High School students in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) competed at the Winter Leadership Conference at Lower Columbia College in Longview, Washington.  Congrats to Liberty Andelman, Hannah Arnold, Madeline Brock, Jacob Larzalere, Laura Perez, Angel Plaza, and Carter Wilson. WHS Drama presents second weekend of student-directed one-act plays

On February 16 and 17 at 7 pm, join us for Harry’s Hotter at Twilight by Jonathan Dorf. These shows follow The Greek Mythology Olympiganzia by Don Zolidis and Bad Auditions by Bad Actors by Ian McWethy that took place last weekend. All of these shows are fun, free, student-directed comedies presented in the WHS auditorium. Come support Washougal drama students this weekend and next weekend!

Washougal welders show skill at regional welding competition

Gavan McCallister, Gage Leavitt, and Noah Wheeler represented WHS at the SkillsUSA regional welding competition in Kelso. Participants in these competitions are challenged with real-world tasks, and receive feedback from industry professionals which help them advance their skills.

Congrats to carpentry students at SkillsUSA Regional Carpentry Competition

WHS students Gage Leavitt, Gavan McCallister, Micah Phillips, Luke Livengood, Noah Wheeler, and Charles Mickes demonstrated hands-on skills at the SkillsUSA Regional Carpentry Competition in January. Congrats to the students, who represented Washougal well at the event, which was hosted by the Pacific Northwest Carpenters Institute (PNCI) in Portland, Oregon.
