The Garden Club of Camas-Washougal has donated $1,310 to support the purchase of gardening supplies, tools, and planting materials for raised garden beds at Washougal High School. The raised beds are used as a project learning opportunity for students in WHS Culinary classes, who cultivate produce for use in their cooking activities. The donation enables students to create a farm-to-table menu in their classroom that showcases the creative ways to incorporate fresh, locally-sourced food items in meal planning.
The Garden Club of Camas-Washougal was founded more than 60 years ago, and works to promote a love of gardening among community members.
