ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each family member, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage families to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.

Here’s what families can do with ParentSquare:

  • Receive messages from the school via email, text or app notification
  • Choose to receive information as it comes or select an all-at-once at 6pm daily digest
  • Communicate in your preferred language
  • Comment on school postings to engage in your school community
  • Direct message teachers and school or district staff
  • Sign up for conferences with smart online technology
  • Sign forms, receive report cards, complete permission slips, sign up to volunteer and more all from your phone or web portal

Review your contact information

On a cell phone, click the three bar menu icon in the upper right, then Account, then My Account to view the phone number we have listed; in a web browser, Log into your ParentSquare account, then click your name in the upper right corner, then My Account

Verifying your Phone and Email:

Verify in Web Browser

  1. Log in to your main ParentSquare account.
  2. If you have unverified contact information, you will see one or more contact cards under, Action Required: Confirm Your Account Information. Click:
    • Confirm Email or Phone: A verification code will be sent to the email or phone number. Enter verification code into ParentSquare to confirm.
    • Edit Email or Phone: Correct your email and/or phone number. A verification code will be sent to your corrected email or phone number. Enter verification code into ParentSquare to confirm.
    • Skip For Now: You will be able to verify or correct your contact information the next time you sign in. (You’ll continue to receive notifications.)
  3. Confirm Child(ren): Select Confirm or Not My Child for each child.
  4. Click Yes, this is me or This is Not Me.
  5. If you clicked Skip For Now on any information on a contact card, you will not see the choice, “Yes, This is Me”, and must select Skip For Now or This is Not Me.
  6. Your school is notified of corrections in order to update their student information system (SIS). After school updates information, it will show in your account. Depending on your school’s settings, you may see the corrected email or phone number immediately in your account or the following day.

Verify in Mobile App

  1. Log in to your main ParentSquare account.
  2. If you have unverified contact information, you will see one or more contact cards with “Action Required”, “Confirm Your Account Info.” Tap arrow to right of Email and Phone to confirm or edit each one.
  3. Select Confirm, Edit or Skip For Now. Repeat for phone number.
    • Verify Email or Phone: tap Confirm. A verification code is sent to the email or phone number. Enter verification code into ParentSquare to confirm.
    • Correction to Email or Phone: tap Edit: Enter correct email and/or phone number. A verification code is sent to your corrected email or phone number. Enter verification code into ParentSquare to confirm.
    • Skip For Now: You will be able to verify or correct your contact information at a later time. (You’ll continue to receive notifications.)
  4. Confirm Child(ren): Select Confirm or Not My Child.
  5. Tap Yes, this is me or This is Not Me.
  6. Your school is notified of corrections in order to update their student information system (SIS). After school updates information, it will show in your account. Depending on your school’s settings, you may see the corrected email or phone number immediately in your account.

If you have a landline phone listed in ParentSquare, you need to do one additional step to tell ParentSquare it’s not a cell phone

After clicking the “Confirm” button for the phone, it’ll tell you it sent a code. On a pop-up that shows up asking for the code, you can check the box to tell ParentSquare this phone number is a landline phone.

Opt-Out:

We will only send you information closely related to school. You can opt-out of non-emergency communications at any time within your ParentSquare preferences, or contact your child’s school office to change how we contact you. Please fill out this form and send it to your child’s school. Please note that opting out of messages will impact non-emergency messages only.
