Welcome to Jemtegaard Middle School’s Counseling Website!
Hello! I’m Mrs.Bruno, the school counselor here at Jemtegaard Middle School (JMS). My primary goal is to support the academic and personal success of all our students. Here’s how I can assist:
- Academic Support: Helping students with strategies to improve their academic performance and manage schoolwork.
- Career Guidance: Assisting students in exploring career interests and setting future goals.
- Personal and Social Development: Addressing personal, social, and emotional concerns to help students navigate their middle school experience.
- Behavioral Support: Working with students on behavior management and strategies for positive change.
- Family Support: Collaborating with families to address any concerns, communicate with outside therapists and agencies, and ensure smooth transitions to high school and beyond.
For Students: You’re welcome to visit my office anytime to set up a time to see me. I’m here to listen and provide support when you need it.
For Parents and Guardians: Please don’t hesitate to call or email me with any questions or concerns you may have. If you’d like to schedule a meeting to discuss your child’s needs or progress, I’m more than happy to arrange a time.
I am excited about the upcoming school year and look forward to working with all of our students and their families to ensure a successful and enjoyable middle school experience!
Go Huskies!

COLLEGE BOUND SCHOLARSHIPS
One of our primary goals at Jemtegaard Middle School is to get our students ready for high school. As they transition to high school the students will be focusing on their High School and Beyond Plan. To support students’ post secondary goals they may have the opportunity to receive significant financial support for additional education and training.
The financial support program is known as the College Bound Scholarship. The first step to qualifying for this scholarship is to sign up in middle school. 8th grade is the last year to apply!
There are two ways to apply and this will only take a few minutes of your time:
- Go online to www.collegebound.wa.gov click on the green button to apply, check a few boxes, provide a name, contact information, submit and you have now given your student financial support for their future.
