Kindergarten students at Hathaway Elementary and their families were treated to a dinner of green eggs and ham on Thursday, March 4. The whimsical meal was cooked up and served by volunteers from Beaches Restaurant as a part of their annual tribute to the great Dr. Seuss and the joy of reading.
“Our kids have been so excited for this,” said Tiffany Gilbreath, Hathaway kindergarten teacher. “It is a great event to bring parents and families in and for kids to get to interact with their schoolmates outside of class.” In addition to the meal, students were given Seuss hats and books to take home and enjoy.
