Washougal School District Elementary Libraries and Fort Vancouver Regional Library (FVRL) partner to bring hands-on robotics lessons to students in Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade during Computer Science Education Week, December 5-11. Our kindergarten through 2nd graders at Gause and Hathaway Elementaries learned the parts and how to assemble a simple circuit using the Circuit Blocks STEM kit borrowed from FVRL. Our 3rd through 5th graders at Gause learned the basic components of a robot using a Microbit and Hummingbird prototyping board STEM kit borrowed from FVRL.
