The Washougal School District Board of Directors is committed to ensuring strong and effective leadership for our schools and community and asked students, families, staff, and the community to share input to assist in the search for the next Washougal School District superintendent.
The board gathered community feedback about the skills and professional experiences that would help them identify a candidate who can successfully lead the district and make progress toward our shared goals, with the survey closing on January 7. The school board also held an in-person listening tour at the Excelsior building at WHS on December 17 to provide an opportunity for additional input.
The attached Superintendent Search Survey summary provides an overview of the key themes that were identified through the open ended questions.
The school board is in the process of reviewing the survey data and will discuss next steps in the superintendent search process at a future board meeting.
