This year, kids at Columbia River Gorge Elementary outperformed the state average in math exams by 17% points! We’re making improvements by investing in low class sizes, encouraging teacher collaboration, and making learning fun. We used federal ESSER funding to bounce back from the pandemic with strength and excellence, the Washougal way.
We’re seeing pandemic recovery across the board in Washougal. Overall, Washougal saw year-to-year improvement in 70% of the subjects and grades tested, and outperformed the state average 82% of the time this year.
