New and returning Washougal School District School Board members were sworn in to service at the December 14, 2021 board meeting after winning in the general election on November 2, 2021. Superintendent Dr. Mary Templeton administered the oath of office.
Sadie McKenzie was elected as the newest member to the WSD Board to represent District 3. McKenzie is a parent of two current Washougal students, and an active volunteer with the Columbia River Gorge Elementary School parent Booster organization.
Board member Chuck Carpenter (District 5) was also elected in the November general election, after being appointed to the board in September 2020. Both will serve 4-year term that expires in 2025.
