Washougal, WA – April 6, 2020 –
Wendy Morrill will be the next principal to lead Hathaway Elementary School.
“Wendy brings a wealth of experience, desire and passion to this work and we are very excited to officially welcome her to the Hathaway community,” said Mary Templeton, WSD superintendent.
Morrill is a veteran teacher with the Washougal School District, with 19 years of experience there. Most recently she served as Interim Principal, Dean of Students, as well as being District BEST Coordinator, New Teacher Mentor, and Title I and LAP Coordinator.
“Washougal holds a special place in my heart,” said Morrill. “I have been fortunate to serve this community and district for many years. I am thrilled to continue this important work with the wonderful staff, students, and families of Hathaway Elementary.”
Morrill was selected from a talented candidate pool in a competitive process that included input and participation from the Hathaway staff and parents. “Thank you to the many staff members who helped guide this process, as well as those who served on the interview panel,” said Templeton.
“We are confident that Wendy will continue to support the students and staff of Hathaway, as she has since joining the staff as the interim principal in February,” Templeton added. Morrill replaces Sarika Mosley who had lead Hathaway since 2017.
